Frequently Asked Questions
At Apex Home Solutions, we're committed to making your remodeling experience as seamless and stress-free as possible. Below, we've answered some of the most common questions we receive from homeowners.
Who will manage my project?
You will connect directly with the General Contractor and depending on the size and scope of your project he may incorporate input from one or more of the following:
- • Our Designer who brings your project to life when picking materials and finishes
- • Our Architect and Engineer team for structural and permit related work
- • One of our team leads or sub-contractors will work with you to get a specialized focus on the corresponding aspects of your project
Who takes care of securing permits?
Based on the scope of work and budget, permits are normally handled by the General Contractor. On smaller projects, we can assist the homeowner in securing applicable permits.
Will you work within my budget?
Absolutely! We understand that budgets drive decisions and we will work within your budget while meeting your expectations for your project. Our team is knowledgeable about the products and materials available to ensure you are satisfied with the final craftsmanship. Once we've provided and agreed on the proposal, we'll stick to the price we quote you for the work included on the proposal. Changes or added services will be negotiated and agreed prior to commencing work.
Can I live in my home during the renovation?
It depends on the scope of the project and your tolerance for inconveniences. While it's possible to live in your home during a renovation, we often recommend making alternate living arrangements during the main construction phase. This is because renovations can be messy and noisy, and you may be without certain comforts like bathroom facilities.
How will you protect my home from dust and debris?
We take every precaution to protect your home and belongings. We'll cover floors with rosin paper, block off the construction area with heavy-gauge plastic sheets, and cover furniture in the surrounding area to prevent damage. Our goal is to minimize disruptions and ensure your home remains safe and clean throughout the renovation process.
Who will have access to my home?
The General Contractor will install an electronic deadbolt and assign codes for the home owner to have access anytime while limiting access to anyone else. Each level of access will be discussed with the home owner to decide what days of the week and hours of the work day the crew will have access. Sub-contractors have their own access codes that only work on the days scheduled. This is to ensure no one can enter your home outside of scheduled work hours without prior authorization from you.
